Photography continues to be a diverse, hybrid practice. While traditional approaches to image making continue, new adaptations of traditional practice, history, ideas and technology are being simultaneously explored. From print to time-based to interactive (including performance), RE: Context aims to explore the composite qualities of the photographic medium. The theme of this year's conference focuses on recontextulization, broadly conceived.

Proposals are invited that address a wide array of issues, ideas, and strategies in imaging, process and teaching: re-contextulization in theory and practice. Submissions are encouraged from imagemakers in the areas of photography, video, new media and performance. Panel and lecture proposals addressing any aspect of the theme are also encouraged.
