Voices are silenced–either through self-censoring or drowned out by the cacophony of the twenty-first century. We live in an age of dynamic technology. The exhibition sphere now includes a “virtual” environment that allows world-wide access to old and new art through the interconnected web.
What voices will we hear and what images will we see when art, technology, and imagery combine, overlap, intersect, and collide?
Drawing on the success of the 2003 Mid-Atlantic Conference which re-contextualized new boundaries for imaging, the 2004 Mid-Atlantic Conference seeks to continue the conversation.
